
Charles Arthur Apple may have owned as many as 9 show horses in the years prior to 1948. Above is Molly, an Appaloosa. This photograph was taken on the lower flat of Pine Apple Village, where Charles and his brother, Bill, had erected a small corral. The horses were all sold off by 1948 apparently because the care and feeding of both children and horses became too taxing and too expensive.

Here is Charles on Jumbo (we think). This picture was taken in the same year as the image above, but either very early or very late in that year (1942). The location is apparently different as well. We believe this picture was taken on the upper flat.
